The Smiddy_Kinross

The smiddy is a sensitive addition to an existing 19th Century building in the historic centre of Kinross. A large and bright living space sits within a generous south facing garden and is connected back to the existing Smiddy house via a timber clad linking block. The living space appears as a stand alone garden pavilion formed in stone with a shallow pyramid hipped roof. The positioning of the extension allows for a small courtyard garden to be formed to the western side of the property, providing a more intimate garden space which connects to the dining room within the existing smiddy.
