Wine Tasting Room_Portugal

The wine tasting room in Portugal was a design competition in collaboration with Ossian Architects during 2020. The design carves a platform into the existing hillside formed in rammed earth, symbolic of the fertile ground in which it sits. A delicate metal roof and glazing structure hovers over the weighty earth walls to create shelter from the sun. A series of internal and external spaces merge together to provide different environments for wine tasting and blurs the lines between inside and out.

The competition entry was highly commended by the judging panel.
